ORIGIN OF BLUEWATER
Bluewater was originally established in Lami, Suva in 1999 in order to capitalize on the ship building opportunities in Fiji. However when a piece of land was made available in Navua that offered both access to water and a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a decision was made to lease the land and set up shop there.
Since launching in Navua, Bluewater has heavily invested in infrastructure, and steadily expanded and increased its design and building capabilities. The recent upgrade of an undercover section and the computer cutting room has allowed the company to expand its boatbuilding capabilities and help bring Fiji to the forefront of boat building practices in the South Pacific. Currently Bluewater has the resources and the capabilities to simultaneously work on 8 water craft at any one time.
To date Bluewater has fast become the most prolific aluminum boat builder in Fiji and has designed and built over 100 aluminum boats of all shapes and sizes for the local and international market.
